Middle/High School
Intentional Learning
Intentional learning is a process of acquiring, understanding, and using strategies to build one’s strengths and improve one’s ability to attain and apply knowledge in a safe environment. This is what sets Dynamic Opportunities apart from other schools. We teach students to build upon their strengths which gives them the self-esteem and self-worth necessary to learn even more and be successful in life. Our curriculum covers all the basics: Math, English, Science, and Social Studies, and so much more! Through hands-on project-based learning, our students work hard to gain insight and understanding into the fundamental academics which support the life skills they are learning. We also offer Music, Art, Cooking, ToolTime, and Agriculture Education. Pulling all of these offerings together to support a specific project is fun for our teachers, even though it’s very hard work! When a project is done, we are always proud to show off our students’ outcomes at an Exhibition Day!
Degrees Offered
Students may earn either a Diploma or a Certificate of Completion depending on their individual academic performance.
Student/Teacher Ratio
We make every effort to maintain a 1:5 student/teacher ratio.
Homework
We do not assign homework. Most of our students need time to decompress after school.
Communication
Our teachers and administrators enjoy speaking with parents about their child’s education. For same-day needs, our staff will make every effort to respond immediately. Requests for conferences, performance inquiries, and other non-emergent matters will receive a response within 24-48 hours. As an organization, we believe it is critically important to keep our parents informed, so our homeroom teachers send out bi-weekly updates and a school-wide newsletter goes out from the Administration between each of our projects.
